Affiliate disclosure

Affiliate disclosure: some links on Think Bigger Today earn us a commission. Here is exactly how that works, and the line we do not cross.

How we make money

Everything we publish is free to read. We fund the site in two ways: partner links, where a lender, bank, insurer or advisor-matching service pays us a fee when a reader clicks through and takes an action, and lead forms, where a reader asks to be matched with a professional and we are paid for the introduction. In line with the Federal Trade Commission's endorsement guides, every one of those placements is labelled as advertising before you click it.

Where partner links appear

  • Under the result of a calculator, matched to the topic of that calculator.
  • At the end of a bank or credit union profile.
  • At the end of a rates page.
  • At the end of a "near me" directory page.

Every commercial link carries a rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute so search engines can tell it apart from an editorial link, and a tracking parameter so we know which page produced the click.

What commission does not buy

No partner can buy a ranking, a rating, a place in a comparison table or a mention in an article. Our rankings, indices and data pages are built from public federal datasets — FDIC, NCUA, CFPB, Census, BLS, HUD, FRED and the Department of Education — and the methodology is published on each page. If a partner's product ranks badly against that data, it ranks badly, and we will say so.

Partner links are also never placed where they would be misleading: we do not present a paid link as an editorial recommendation, and a page with no relevant partner simply shows no placement rather than an irrelevant one.

Not financial advice

Nothing on Think Bigger Today, sponsored or otherwise, is personalised financial, legal or tax advice. Rates, fees and terms come from the provider and can change at any time — always confirm them on the provider's own site before you apply. Questions about this disclosure can go to info@thinkbiggertoday.com.
